Day out to visit Paris
Notre Dame
La Seine
Took the bus at 11.58 from the Place de Thomas bus stop near Les Pleiades, then using my Navigo pass I took the RER train to Bry-sur-Marne where I bought a ticket towards Paris which was 3.05euros for a single trip and arrived in Paris Gare de Lyon around 1pm. Had to find my way a bit at first but then it was okay, walked towards Le Bastille, then Le Marais, Quartier Latin, Le Notre Dame, walked quite a lot.
Got attacked by this non French (i think eastern European like Romanian) woman with a paper saying Sourd-Mute Association France and wanted me to donate something, but I didn't do because it didn't look official at all and she was just annoying tourists of course. I did see some people give her 10 euros each, lucky her! Later though when I was walking through the little streets of the Latin Quarter where all the restaurants are, I saw the same lady with 2 of her Romanian friends just talking to each other! So they were definitely fakes!
Birdies!
Pres de la maison du Victor Hugo
La batiment de la Post
Le Quartier Latin
La tour is in sight!
La Seine by night
Notre Dame by night
Crepe!
It took me more than 2 hours to get back to Val d'Europe because first of all I took the wrong train and ended up at Charles de Gaulle station, so waited for another train, which stopped at one station for a very long time and saw that the people left and went into the opposite train so I thought that I'd better follow them, but ended up going towards Paris again! Then went back again in the other direction and finally made it to Val d'Europe when the bus towards Les Pleiades just left of course.
Happy to be back in room nice and warm now with bibby feet from walking so much.
